| This is the jacket I made in the Daryl Lancaster Sewing Handwovens workshop I just took. It was pretty amazing to see string being turned into something so fun. I'd never woven yardage before, so that was a new experience. I'd never sewn anything more complicated than a dog collar, so that was a new experience as well.
This is called the Book Jacket because the stripe pattern is based on the ISBN of the book our study group published - "A Tabletweavers Pattern Book". The tablet woven trim pattern is also from that book.
This was such a great workshop, and Daryl did a wonderful job teaching it. I would never have guessed that a sewing novice such as I could ever produce something like this. The other amazing thing is that it actually fits!
I'll get better pictures and more pattern specifics here as I get time.
