After my fun with Tablet Weaving, I decided to give big weaving a try. I took a class 11/03, and bought a counterbalance loom in 12/03 (My Christmas present to me).

It took some time for me to get used to the big loom. For one thing, my options were much more limited. Each end is wired in each shaft, and once the loom is dressed there isn't much flexibility. This was much different than my tablet weaving experience, and quite frustrating at first.
